Privacy Policy

The short version

We do not ask you for personal information, and there is nothing to sign up for on this site. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people read. That is the whole of it.

What we collect

We use Google Analytics 4 to measure site usage. It sets cookies in your browser and collects:

• Pages viewed, time on page, and the path taken through the site
• Referring source — the search engine, link, or platform that brought you here
• Approximate geographic location, derived from IP address and not stored at full precision by Google Analytics 4
• Device, browser, and operating system
• Interactions with specific elements: clicking a subscribe or episode link, and starting an audio player

This is aggregate audience measurement. We do not use it to build profiles of individuals, and we do not attempt to identify you.

What we do not collect

• No account system, no login, no password — there is nothing to register for
• No newsletter or email list at this time, so we hold no email addresses from this site
• No payment information; nothing on this site is for sale
• No advertising network cookies and no cross-site retargeting pixels
• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone for their own marketing

If any of this changes — particularly if we add advertising or an email list — this page will be updated before the change goes live.

Third parties

Google Analytics. Data is processed by Google under its own privacy policy. You can opt out entirely with Google's browser opt-out add-on, or by blocking analytics cookies in your browser or an extension. The site works normally either way.

Podcast platforms. If you listen through Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, or another app, that platform collects its own data under its own policy, and we have no control over it. What we receive back is aggregate listener numbers, never individual identities.

Hosting. The site is served from Amazon Web Services. Standard server logs are generated as part of delivering the page to you.

Your rights

Depending on where you live — including under GDPR in the UK and EU, and the CCPA in California — you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold, and to object to processing.

In practice we hold no directly identifying information about site visitors, so there is usually nothing to retrieve. If you want to make a request anyway, or ask what we hold, email dev@jetexpat.com and we will respond.

Analytics data is retained by Google under the retention period configured for the property, after which it is deleted automatically.

Children

This site is aimed at investors and aviation professionals and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
